Ministerial Delegation comprised of the Minister of Mining and Energy Mr. Aleksandar Antić, State Secretary Stevica Dedjanski and Assistant Minister Mr. Ivan Janković, the Ambassador of Canada to Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, H. Kati Csaba and Trade Commissioner at the Embassy, GRAS representatives together with members of GRAS, attended at PDAC (Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada), the largest international fair and convention in the field of mining, which took place in Toronto from March 3-6, 2019.

On Sunday, March 3, for a third consecutive year, Euromax Resources and Mundoro Capital are hosting the “Western Tethyan Belt” session at PDAC. The session highlights the Tethys as an emerging and increasingly attractive region for mineral projects as demonstrated by takeovers of former participants of this Tethyan Session. This year participating companies are CANSEE member companies Euromax Resources, Mundoro Capital, Dundee Precious Metals, MedGold Resources, as well as individual companies Zijin Mining, Velocity Minerals, Euro Sun Mining, Eldorado Gold, Georgian Mining and Chesterfield Resources that discussed their projects, while insights into the region were provided by government representatives.

A technical keynote presentation by Tim Baker, Chief Geoscientist at Eldorado Gold Corporation, kicked off the morning session and provided a review of the Cretaceous and Cenozoic deposit types and resources across SE Europe and Turkey, was followed by a Government Spotlight by the Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy, Minister Antić. The western portion of the Tethyan Belt remains underexplored yet is rich with mineral potential, low-cost exploration services, local skilled workforces and good infrastructure.
